Coming Next Week: New “Doing Things” Course
My first course in three years is almost ready, and it will be FREE for all paid subscribers.
A couple of announcements today! (And there will be another big announcement in another couple weeks. It’s announcement season, apparently.)
To cut to the chase:
1. I made a course! My first one in three years. It’s called DOING THINGS, and it’s about accomplishing tasks of all kinds from a neurodivergent perspective, which is sorely neglected in pretty much every modern productivity method.
I spent two months working on it earlier this year, and I know it will be very helpful for many of our readers.
The course is almost done and will be ready next Wednesday, October 2nd.
2. Rather than run a big product launch, I’ve decided to do something fun with it. The course will be for sale to the general public, but it will also be FREE for all paid subscribers to the newsletter.
That’s right, free! If you’ve already signed up for a paid subscription (at any point during the year, and at any level), great. You don’t need to do anything else. Sometime next week you’ll get an email with login info.
If you haven’t upgraded and you’d like to, you can do so by clicking “manage your subscription” in your Substack settings.
But Why Though? What’s the Catch?
There’s really no catch! As I’ve become more immersed in the neurodivergent / ADHD world this year, I’ve seen how much of a problem doing things can be for so many of us. I want to help as many people as possible.
Next, I honestly enjoy making things like this course more than I enjoy the process of marketing and selling them. So this way I’ll focus much more on the making, and much less on the selling. 🤓
Finally, I’d love it if more people would sign up for the newsletter, since that helps with discoverability. Everything is an algorithm these days. So I wanted to reward everyone who’s paying for it, without taking anything away from everyone else.
(As noted, all posts for A Year of Mental Health will continue to be free for everyone. And if you don’t want to upgrade your newsletter subscription, you can still purchase the course separately. I haven’t decided on the final price, but it will likely be in the $129-159 range.)
Okay, that’s it for today! I’ve got a lot of work to finish on the course, but I’ll be back on Friday with another post.
So excited for this!! 😊 I’d say being consistent is the toughest for me. I enjoy variety but need routine. I usually do more than I’d expect if I’m able to start. I struggle prioritizing goals that would make the biggest impact.
Greatest challenge in doing things I think for me is overthinking them. What if? Who will care? The impact might be ___. I just get so lost in future thought that present thought gets distracted or worse, shelved entirely.
