Joseph's comment about minimising the information input resonates with me. Recently, I told friends on social media that I'd be taking a "retreat" for a while, to help me refresh my mind and thinking without over-stimulation. It was a short break, but well worth doing. I'm now clearer about my priorities, and have begun to prune both my to-do list and my group memberships. This has given more space to actually do the things that give me joy. By not trying to do as much, I'm now able to achieve more of what matters. :)

Hey Chris.... love the discovery of this little book, released in 2022. Who knew? I'm NOT on TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, yadda yadda and that may be why you are the first to tell me about this. Yes, curiosity got the better in my brain and I purchased it. I wonder how anyone who is less than 50 years old has the lived experiences, triumphs, losses, relationships, collaborations to offer WISDOM. Oh, I love wicked smart people. Wisdom comes from quests and not from knowledge, reading books, or running social platforms.

I love the word Quest. And now I’m wondering if the root word for Question is Quest. Reminds me of Tamara shopsin’s book Arbitrary Stupid Goal.

Thanks for this interview Chris! Reminds me of a song by Erykah Badu called Love. In the intro she says ‘there are two emotions, fear and love.’

Love the idea that we have 60K thoughts per day ... how can they all be truthful? Thank you for sharing these ideas

An information/entertainment diet - yes! Love the phrasing here.

Also, Android has a similar app that strips down your phone called Minimalist Phone. I've had it for a year or so, and it's wonderful. I do get asked "why does your phone look like that?" all the time, though, and I've wondered if why I like it is related more to the efficiency or to my aphantasia, which this works better for.
