Just popping in to say that I love the updates! I'm having one of those "do the work", "breakthrough" type of years with my therapist and this is a great supplement. I appreciate your journey and transparency being shared with us!

Hello Chris --

I've been following you since you were working on your goal to get to every country. You and a few others I "met" during that time kept me inspired when yet another idea I had for moving abroad didn't work out.

And finally, here I am. Reading your posts from a small town in northern Spain.

Thank you for sharing your journey with all of us over the years. I was delighted to see you back in my inbox with A Year of Mental Health.

Wow, so cool! I'm glad you made it abroad. Sometimes these things take time and persistence. :)

Ooohhhh Spain has always been a place I’ve thought about moving… What town are you in? I had looked in the south for a while actually, love Granada!

The south was too hot for year-round living for us, so we're about 20 minutes from Gijón. The Asturias region is beautiful! Mountains, beach, trees, never gets to freezing, the heat waves skip us:)

I've been wondering about summer in the northern cities. I'm in Malaga now for 6 weeks. I prefer to be a little closer to the coast... I might check out Santander, Oviedo & Gijon.

Sounds lovely! I will file this away for when that idea springs up again. 🙏

Hello from Minneapolis, MN! I have been following you since the Credit Card Cartel days. In fact, I just left Camp Indie (https://campindie.com/) which is a direct outgrowth of World Domination Summit (the co-founders, Travis and Jason, met at one of the early WDS events).

I've always appreciated your non-conformist outlook (especially since I am what Gretchen Rubin would call an Obliger), but your recent shift into ADHD-centered content has really got me hooked!

I look forward to what your course has in store, as I'm currently on sabbatical from my side hustle :D

Thanks for all you do, Chris! ~Rachel

Thank you for making it free. So many times I'd click on comment and then remember that I couldn't. Of course, that actually may have been a good thing. Haha, sometimes I truly believe that a comment is stopped for a very good reason! Thank you for all you do. We met years ago at a book event with Judy Knight in Atlanta. It's been great keeping up via your enews all this time.

Those ATL events were so fun! I think Judi and I did two or three of them. Great to be connected here after all this time.

I appreciate that you have found a place from which to do things that does not seem tied to financial incentive. I know that we all need to provide for ourselves, and those that we care about, and our culture seems to have become so transactional that it is hard to find a way forward in this. Thanks for being you and modeling things in the way that you do.

Hello! I’ve read your posts a couple of times in the past. I’m in Yorkshire in the north of England.

Why am I reading it? Probably because all thinks mental health are of interest plus in this case (as a relative new by in here) I’m keen to see why people do/don’t charge for their work.

So cool getting to see this project evolve, Chris! The course looks incredible.

I’ll be starting to share a monthly curation of resources, art, and magical things with my community in the coming months and would love to include the information about the course when the time comes! Keep us posted ❤️‍🔥

I made the same decision for my newsletter and have to say that it feels so good to be Paywall free! Love your work, and look forward to sharing your course with my community! x

Yes! I love how you've done that. And the way you explained it to everyone was also really well done.

Hi from Calgary, Canada. I have been reading your posts since you first started them in January. I read them aloud with adult daughter (OCD and ADHD and just struggles with life in general). They have generated great discussions for us, and we both identify with many things you have shared. I find your posts very thoughtful and upbeat without being too much.

Thanks for doing this.

And will make sure to ask you about the new thing if we don’t hear about it again by the end of the year!! Haha 😆

Looking forward to meeting you irl in NYC sometime.

Hello,

I'm writing from Malaga Spain, altho I have been living in Southern CA, USA. In Spain for "a while" working on my spanish. I started reading to get freedom from the pressure/ judgement of doing life/ work that hasn't been working for me. As of mid-year, I'm also in a work (and living) transition; I'm in "from" and "to", working on what the "to" will be... I'd like that to be a project. I'd love to beta your new course if that's even an option. Between you & James Clear, I really appreciate your to the point, elegant messaging. Works great for me. Congrats on your substack shift, almost finished course, *and* secret project!

Thank you for doing this, Chris. I’ve always been a big fan of yours and followed your endeavors faithfully. I felt bad that I couldn’t add one more subscription to my list of bills. I’m having some career problems, and the money just isn’t there.

But mental health is at the core of my issues, and I felt that maybe, just maybe, I’d see something you wrote that would help me as it did in the past.

I appreciate your generosity of spirit and your talent for raw candor. Thank you for sharing your insight with us. I am forever a fan.

Hi Chris, just found you and looking forward to catching up on previous posts but following you from now on. Having had my own struggles in the past and finally finding myself and some peace through acceptance it’s a joy to find spaces like the one you have created and the community that’s surrounds it.
